1988 RESTORED LAND ROVER DEFENDER

For sale here is my much loved 1988 Defender which was a labour of love nut and bolt build. I originally purchased the rolling Hicap chassis back in 2015 from a chap in Axminster (chassis mileage was 200k) and set about building the truck over the next few years. The previous owner was intending to build it into a tipper for his timber business but due to losing his hand in a work accident was forced to abandon the project which is when I stepped in. I liked the idea of retaining the good original chassis rather than just plumping for a galvanised one so it was repaired and painted. I then purchased a scrap early nineties defender which served as a donor vehicle for the build. Every single part fitted was either new or refurbished original. The build was ‘finished’ in 2019 and I taxed and MOT’d it in Jan 2020 and used it daily for a few months to break it in. I have taken it out locally a few times since then just to keep everything moving.
